I was fascinated by old Soviet matchbox designs for a long time, so I decided to make a little 3D piece based on one! I upscaled the reference matchbox design & then created a texture sheet from it. Then I modeled the fishes and scene in Blender, using curve modifiers both for the body shape and pose. I also used an online tool to find a very similar font to my reference. Lastly I assembled everything in Unity engine, creating a custom Shader Graph to apply some paper grain via tri-planar projection.
